PGDM Admission Process in Delhi

Most of the management schools of Delhi widely accept XAT as their first round of entrance, the admission process of which is as follows:

Step 1: Applying and Sitting for the Examination: Candidates applying for various PGDM courses should have obtained a bachelor’s degree of at least three years. Also, the candidate should be in the final year. There is no upper age limit. Some of the institutes also require proven work experience to be eligible to apply. 

Step 2: Registration Process: As for other XAT examinations, registration generally commences mid-July and ends early December. To register, visit xatonline.in. The application fee is INR 2200, and further taxes might also be charged by the applicants.  

Step 3: XAT Examination: The examination is scheduled for early January, and takes 3hours and 30 minutes. It is a computer-based test and includes the following sections of Decision Making, Verbal and Logic Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The Analytical Essay Writing segment has been integrated into the Group Discussion and Interview segment. 

Step 4: Shortlisting For The Interview Process: XLRI, alongside the other participating institutes, publishes its respective cutoff scores after the XAT results are announced at the end of January.

Step 5: Final Seat Allotment: As the last and final round of seat allotment, the candidates are to pay the required tuition fee and complete their admission formalities after reporting to their respective colleges.
