The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) is one of the leading management institutes. It was established in 2009, and it operates from its new, functional & state-of-the-art main campus at Prabandhan Nagar, Nayasarai Road, Ranchi.
It has also established a satellite campus for the executive programmes at the National Institute of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Hyderabad. Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi continues to be inspired by its motto, Bahumukhvikaso Gantavya (बहुमुखविकासो गन्तव्य). IIM Ranchi began with a two-year postgraduate management programme that offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which later became the flagship programme of the Institute. After realising the importance of Human Resource Management in 2012, the Institute added an MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HR).
By 2021, the institute introduced a two-year postgraduate programme offering an MBA in Business Analytics (MBA-BA). Simultaneously, the institute also started an Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) to tap into young minds after class 12th. This programme was launched in 2019, and it is a five-year programme.
The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a fully residential programme, which is divided into nine terms, spread over three years. Students must complete a SIIP (Social Internship Immersion Programme) after their fifth term. They are also assessed at the end of the third year, and the student must have a minimum of 4.5 CGPA, so that they can be promoted to the MBA programme after the third year.
IIM Ranchi also offers a Doctoral programme and the Executive Doctoral programme, which are tailored according to the needs of the industry. Indian Institute of Management Ranchi has ranked 18th in the year 2025 and ranked 17th in NIRF management in the year 2024.

Shortlisting for the PI Process: During the admission process, an initial shortlist will be prepared for students who will be eligible for the PI process for admission to the IPM 2025-30 session. 50% weightage will be given to Verbal Ability Marks & Quants.
PI Process: The personal interview will be conducted in the physical mode in states such as New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, & Ranchi.
