JIMS Kalkaji has built a strong reputation for its placement process, consistently providing good opportunities to its students across various sectors. The placement cell is well-organised and student-driven, ensuring smooth coordination between recruiters and students. With active participation from top companies and a structured process that includes pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, and interviews, the institute helps students secure roles that match their skills and interests. The internship and placement experience at JIMS Kalkaji is practical, professionally managed, and focused on career readiness, making it a reliable institute for students aiming for good corporate exposure and job prospects.
The placement process at JIMS Kalkaji begins when companies are invited to the campus. The Career Management Cell, run by students under the guidance of the Placement Head, takes care of the entire process. First, companies share important details like job roles and requirements. Then, students are informed and can apply for the roles they are interested in.
1. Pre-Placement Talk (PPT)
Before the actual selection begins, companies visit the campus to give a short presentation. This session helps students understand the company better. It also clears doubts about job roles, salary, growth opportunities, and the training period. These talks are for both summer internships and final placements.
2. Aptitude Test, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI)
Many companies conduct an aptitude test as the first step. This may be followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. The institute arranges everything needed for these steps. Students who pass each round move forward in the selection process.
3. Final Selection
After the interviews, companies share the list of selected students with the Career Management Cell. The selected students are informed, and they can join the company after completing their course or as per the company’s joining date.
The Summer Internship is an 8-week program designed to give students real work experience and help them apply classroom learning to the business world. JIMS Kalkaji helps students gain practical exposure through internships in various sectors like Banking, Finance, HR, Consulting, FMCG, Business Analytics, and IT. Over 65 companies visited the campus and offered internship roles, giving students a chance to explore the corporate environment.
