Overview Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIMJ)
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIMJ) was established in 2016 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India. To provide high-quality education and conduct research, IIM Jammu inaugurated its off-campus centre in Srinagar on 24 January 2020. With its motto 'सा विद्या या विमुक्तये' ("It is knowledge that liberates"), IIM Jammu aims to nurture well-skilled and equipped leaders to face global business challenges while contributing to the economic growth of Jammu and Kashmir and beyond.
IIM Jammu has secured dual international accreditations for its MBA programme: the Business Graduates Association (BGA) accreditation for a period of five years and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) accreditation for a period of three years. Moreover, this educational institute also has the accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) for the MBA programme. Master of Business Administration: Indian Institute of Management Jammu offers a 2-year full-time residential programme that is the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP), which leads to the grant of MBA. This master’s level programme helps the candidates to enhance their analytical skills for the leadership roles in complex and dynamic business scenarios.
Integrated Programme in Management (IPM): IIM Jammu IPM is a 5-year integrated programme (BBA+MBA). The IPM programme is designed with a blend of science, social science, and management courses.

Who can apply to IIM Jammu
Candidates who are enrolling in IIM Jammu must be aware that they must complete the eligibility criteria of the particular programme offered by the University. The requirements of the programmes are given below in the next section.
For Postgraduate Programme in Management (MBA)
For admission in Postgraduate programmes in Management or MBA, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with 50% of marks from a well-approved university.
Along with that, candidates are also required to have a valid Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score to apply for the MBA programme.
For Integrated Programme in Management (IPM)
Candidates must have completed their 12th or equivalent in 2023, 2024 and be appearing in 2025, and their 10th in 2021 or later from a well-recognised state/central board.
Applicants need to score 60% marks in 10+2 examinations, and reserved categories need to have 55% marks.
Apart from the above requirements, candidates need to score the minimum required aggregate marks in the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) conducted by NTA.
For Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for General, 47% for NC - OBC, and 45% for SC/ST from a recognised University and educational institution is required.
Work Experience: A Minimum of 3 years of work experience is required till the last date of application, and experience during the study period will not be considered.
For Master of Business Administration (Hospital Administration and Healthcare Management)
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks from a well-approved educational institution.
Along with that, candidates need to appear for the CAT entrance examination and secure a minimum aggregate mark in the entrance exam for admission to MBA (HA & HM).
For Dual Degree (B.Tech+MBA) with IIT Jammu
For admission to the Dual Degree Programme (B.Tech+MBA), candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a well-recognised state/central board with 75% of marks.
Applicants need to appear for the JEE (Advanced) or JEE (Mains) entrance exam and secure a minimum aggregate mark.
To continue in the MBA programme, the students must secure at least a 7 CGPA or above in the B.Tech programme without appearing in the CAT entrance examination.
It is compulsory for participants who do not score 7 CGPA by the end of the fourth year to exit from the programme and appear for the CAT entrance examination.
For Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
A Bachelor's degree with 60% of marks is required for admission to the PhD programme of IIM Jammu.
Along with this, candidates having qualifications like CA, ICWA, or CS can also apply for a PhD.
For PhD for Working Professionals
For admission to the PhD for working professionals at IIM Jammu, candidates must have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the 10+2+3 pattern with 60% of marks.
Candidates having professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, or CS, with at least 50% of marks, can also enrol for the PhD programme for working professionals.
Along with all these educational qualifications, candidates must have a valid scorecard for the entrance examinations, such as CAT/GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF.
The University conducts a written test for the candidates who do not have the CAT/GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF scorecard, which is further followed by a personal interview.

IIM Jammu Placement Overview
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu provided strong and excellent placement to the students in multinational companies, achieving the placement record of 100%. More than 100 recruiters participated in IIM Jammu Placements, which are conducted by the Placement Office along with the Student Placement Committee.
IIM Jammu conducts on-campus placement and summer placement for the students. According to the 2023-25 summer placement report of the MBA Programme, a batch of 257 students were placed in 86 companies with the highest stipend of INR 2.0 Lakhs for two months, while the average stipend is INR 70,826 for two months. IIM Jammu Scholarships
The Indian Institute of Management Jammu provides financial aid as well as scholarships to deserving and meritorious students. Need-cum-Merit-Based Scholarship
Meritorious or worthy students belonging to the weaker section of society get the benefit of the Need-cum-Merit-Based Scholarship scheme. Candidates who scored 7 CGPA in the 1st year can avail this scholarship scheme. Candidates with a family income of less than INR 3,00,000 will get a 100% tuition fee waiver; those with INR 3,00,001 to INR 4,00,000 will get a 50% tuition fee waiver, and those with INR 4,00,001 to INR 5,00,000 will get a 25% tuition fee waiver.
SC/ST Scholarship
The Government of India provides the SC/ST Scholarship scheme to candidates belonging to reserved categories at IIM Jammu. This scholarship scheme is provided under the governance of different ministries and candidates who complete the eligibility criteria for the SC/ST Scholarship scheme can fill out the applications from the National Scholarships portal (NSP) of the Indian Government.
Minority Scholarship
Minority Scholarship is a government-sponsored scheme which provides financial support to students belonging to minority communities. This scholarship scheme aims to improve educational and employability rates in the minority groups by covering the expenses, like tuition fees and other expenses, of students. Candidates who are eligible for this can access the official website of the Government of India, which is the National Scholarships portal (NSP).
Loan Schemes
IIM Jammu also allows the students to make arrangements with the Banks to provide the education loan to needy students so that they can complete their higher education at a well-established educational institution (IIM Jammu) in India. Interested students can apply for the loans, and IIM Jammu will provide the names of the students to the loaning organisations. Also, the institute will not be responsible for any other obligation connected with the loan.
