VITEEE Exam 2026

The VITEEE exam 2026 is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) once a year. The VITEEE 2026 application process started on 12 April 2026 and the registration window is now closed. The VITEEE 2026 exam was conducted from 28 April to 3 May 2026 at various test centres across the country. The VITEEE Result 2026 has been declared on the official website and candidates can now download their VITEEE rank card.

Candidates securing a VITEEE rank can participate in the VITEEE Counselling 2026, which is being conducted in five phases based on rank ranges. Candidates need to complete counselling fee payment, counselling registration and choice filling through the official website. The VITEEE Seat Allotment 2026 is being released phase-wise based on candidates rank, preferences and seat availability. Allotted candidates need to complete advance fee payment, balance fee payment and document verification to confirm admission. The final phase of VITEEE Counselling 2026 will end with the balance fee payment on 4 July 2026.

VITEEE Exam Dates 2026

To be eligible for VITEEE exam 2026, candidates must have passed or be appearing for their 10+2 (or equivalent) exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, securing a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (50% marks for reserved categories). 

Given below are the VITEEE eligibility criteria for candidates applying:

Nationality: 

• The applicant for VITEEE should be a Resident / Non-resident Indian National/OCI/PIO Holder.

• NRI applicants can apply under the NRI Category through the NRI application form.

• Candidates who study/studies abroad can apply directly through the International application form.  

Academic Qualification:

• Mandatory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. 

• Minimum Aggregate Marks:

  • General Category: 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. 

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/J&K/Ladakh/North Eastern States): 50% marks aggregate. 

• Qualifying Examination: Candidates should have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 or equivalent examination. 

Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2004, are eligible to apply.

The application forms for the exam are available on the official website of VITEEE. Candidates must fill out the application form, upload necessary documents and pay the required fee to complete the application process. The VITEEE Exam last date to apply for the exam is now 12 April 2026 after extension and the application portal will become inaccessible after this. The application fee is uniform for all students, which is INR 1350, with no relaxation for reserved category students. Students must carefully fill out and review the details mentioned in the application form before submitting it. 

VITEEE 2026 Application Fee

The VITEEE Exam 2026 fees structure for various courses offered on the campus is prescribed by the Vellore Institute of Technology. Courses offered are divided into two groups, namely Group A and Group B and each group has a separate fee structure. The VITEEE 2026 fee structure includes INR 1,76,000 per annum for Group A and INR 1,98,000 per annum for Group B, along with a refundable caution deposit of INR 3,000.

The VITEEE Exam is a computer-based examination conducted by the VIT University at various examination centres. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from 28 April 2026 to 03 May 2026. The exam will consist of 125 multiple-choice questions from various subjects like English, Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry and general aptitude. Each question has a weight of 1 mark with no negative marking for wrong answers.

VITEEE Syllabus 2026

The VITEEE exam 2026 syllabus is available on the official website of the university. Students can download the syllabus by logging in to the portal with their credentials. The VITEEE syllabus 2026 includes topics from class 12th like English, mathematics/biology, physics, chemistry and aptitude. Students must be familiar with the syllabus to effectively prepare for the exam, ensuring they cover all relevant topics and allocate their study time strategically for success.

The exam conducted by the VIT University will be tentatively held from 28 April to 3 May 2026. The admit cards for the exam will be released on the website of the university and students are instructed to download them using their login credentials. The VITEEE exam 2026 admit cards will made available on the website tentatively from 26 April 2026. Candidates are advised to carry a printout of the admit card to the examination centre along with other necessary documents. According to the notice issued, students must carry their passport-sized photograph, valid ID proof and printout of the admit card with them. Aspirants must visit the official website to stay updated with the dates. 

Note: The Vellore Institute of Technology doesn’t provide an answer key for its VITEEE exam. 

VITEEE 2026 Result

The VITEEE 2026 result will be tentatively released in the 2nd week of May 2026. Candidates will be able to access their results once available on website by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The result includes scores and ranks obtained in the exam. Based on their ranks, qualifying candidates will be invited for the counseling process to secure admission to undergraduate engineering programs. Counselling involves seat allocation according to merit and preference. Candidates need to download and preserve their results for further procedures, such as document verification during counseling. Students must regularly visit the official website for updates regarding results and the counselling process. 

VITEEE Cutoff 2026

The VITEEE cutoff is important for students to secure admission into the prestigious VIT campuses for undergraduate engineering programs. Candidates can check the cut off from the official website of the university. The cutoff depends on several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of available seats and the popularity of specific engineering branches. The branches such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Data Science witness higher demand, resulting in lower cut-off ranks. On the other hand, branches like Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering may have relatively higher cut-off ranks due to comparatively lesser demand.

• It is important to revise the topics regularly to strengthen understanding. 

• Candidates must solve a variety of problems and questions to improve their problem-solving skills.

• Students must give enough time to each section and topic based on their importance and their strengths and weaknesses. 

• Aspirants are advised to solve mock tests regularly to assess their preparation level and identify their weaknesses.
