Admission to IIT Bhilai for the 2026 academic year in undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D programs is done based on course-wise eligibility criteria and a pre-defined selection process. For B.Tech admissions, candidates must qualify JEE Advanced exam and participate in the JoSAA counselling process. For B.Tech Programs: Candidates must have completed their Class 12th with PCM, securing at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD categories). Admission is based on a valid JEE Advanced score, followed by participation in the JoSAA counselling process. Final seat allotment depends on the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) and preferences filled during counselling.
For M.Tech Programs: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree in Science with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST students). Additionally, they must have a valid GATE score in the relevant discipline.
For M.Sc Programs: Eligibility for the M.Sc program requires a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant science discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD categories). Admission is based on the IIT JAM score, and candidates must participate in the JAM counselling process to secure a seat.
