CMAT 2026 Marking Scheme

The CMAT 2026 Marking Scheme is used to calculate marks across all five sections. Each section consists of 20 questions. This will include +4 marks for each correct answer and -1 negative marking for each incorrect answer. To obtain maximum marks, it is essential for candidates to carefully consider each question before attempting an answer.

The formula for calculating marks in the CMAT 2026 exam is as follows:

Total Marks = (4 × Number of Correct Answers) - (1 × Number of Incorrect Answers)

In this formula:

  • Total Marks is the final score.
  • The number of Correct Answers is the total number of questions that have been answered correctly.
  • The number of Incorrect Answers is the total number of incorrect questions.

The CMAT Exam syllabus has been changed, and now there is a new section called Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been added in the syllabus. But there are still 100 questions in total, divided equally among the five sections. Each section has 20 questions, and the highest score possible is 400 marks.
