CUET PG 2026: The CUET PG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must qualify for the exam to secure admission to postgraduate courses, such as M.Sc. and M.A., in various universities across India. The registration process for the CUET PG Exam is open from 14 December 2025 to 14 January 2026 on the official NTA website. Also, the CUET PG 2026 exam will be conducted in online mode (CBT), across 43 shifts in March 2026, with each shift lasting 90 minutes and held in three timings. There will be 75 questions in every question paper for the CUET PG exam.

CUET PG 2026 Exam 

The Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate Programs (CUET PG) 2026 is a national-level examination conducted by NTA for admission into different PG programs across participating universities in India. The application process for the CUET PG exam started on 14 December 2025 on its official website. The last date to submit the application form is 14 January 2026. 

Additionally, the NTA will provide a correction window from 10 January to 12 January 2026 to help aspirants correct details in their application form. The CUET-PG Exam 2026 is scheduled to take place in March 2026, in multiple shifts each day in a Computer-Based Test mode. The CUET PG application fee varies from INR 1400 to INR 7000, depending on the candidate’s category, nationality and the number of test papers selected. 

Candidates must have completed their UG degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% to be eligible for the CUET-PG examination. Also, there is no upper or lower age limit for the applicants. The CUET PG examination pattern includes a total of 75 multiple-choice questions that need to be answered within a set duration of 90 minutes. The candidates will be given 4 marks for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The unanswered questions will result in 0 marks.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the CUET PG 2026 Exam:

  • No age limit for candidates to appear in the CUET PG Examination.

  • Must have passed the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

  • Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible.

Moreover, there are no upper or lower age limits for the CUET PG Exam. However, some of the universities may have specific age criteria. Hence, candidates should verify the age requirements of the universities to which they are applying.

CUET PG Exam 2026 Application Form

The CUET PG 2026 application form was released on 14 December 2025 and the last date to apply is 14 January 2026, at 11:50 PM. Later, the application process ends, and the NTA will open the correction window from 18 to 20 January 2026. With the help of this correction window, candidates have the opportunity to amend any errors they may have made during the application process.

Interested candidates can visit the official website to register, complete the form with their personal and academic details, upload the required documents, select their preferred exam city and university/program, pay the fee, and submit the form to complete the CUET PG 2026 application. The CUET PG 2026 admit card could be downloaded from the official website two to three days prior to the exam in March 2026*.

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2026

The NTA has revised the CUET PG exam pattern for the academic session 2026. Therefore, the exam duration is now reduced from 105 minutes to 90 minutes. The CUET PG 2026 Exam will be held in a Computer-based mode and will include 75 MCQs.

CUET PG Marking Scheme 2026

In the marking criteria for CUET PG 2026, candidates earn 4 points for every correct response and 1 point is subtracted for each incorrect answer. Questions that are left unanswered do not affect the overall score. Candidates should think carefully about their answers before submitting them because wrong answers will lead to a penalty.

The CUET PG Exam 2026 consists of 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on domain-specific knowledge for each subject, with a total of 300 marks and negative marking of -1 for each incorrect answer.
