

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a premium state university situated in Dwarka, New Delhi and was founded by the Government of NCT of Delhi in 1998. GGS IPU is duly recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has received an “A++” grade by NAAC until 2029. In the NIRF 2024 ranking, GGSIPU has been ranked 80th in the “overall” category, 65th in the “management” category, 89th in the “Engineering” category and 17th in the “law” category. It also ranks between 951-1000 in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2026.
GGS IPU offers over 400 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, including its flagship courses in B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.A., LLB, and Ph.D. Depending on the courses, the university accepts admissions through IPU CET, JEE Main, NEET, GATE, CUET, CAT or other national-level entrance exams. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) New Delhi offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Dual Degree, M.Phil, and Ph.D. programs across disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Sciences, Law, Education, and Humanities. Popular courses include B.Tech, BBA, B.Com (H), BA LLB, MBA, and M.Sc. Admission to the various courses is granted through IPU CET, CUET-UG/PG, national-level entrance exams (such as JEE, CLAT, NEET, CAT, etc.), or merit in qualifying examinations. Some programs may also include micro-presentations or personal interviews during the selection process.
For the 2025–26 academic year, the application process is entirely online through the official GGS IPU admission portal. Registrations began on 1 February 2025, with deadlines extended to 11 April 2025 for CET-based and 30 April 2025 for CUET/merit-based courses. A special CUET-based round was held from July 16 to July 30, 2025. The registration fee of GGS IPU is INR 2,500.
For the MBA program, candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation, with admission based on CAT, CMAT, CUET, or IPU CET scores. A Dual Degree M.Sc. program is offered in collaboration with AGH University, Poland, with selection based on academic performance and interview. Selected candidates must complete the online registration process and attend counselling rounds.
The university also reserves a supernumerary seat in each program for orphaned children with full tuition fee waivers and has introduced a single girl child quota from 2025 onwards. GGSIPU continues to follow a transparent and merit-based admission process across all its programs.
To be eligible for undergraduate programs at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). Candidates must have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks. Applicants opting for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and must also appear for JEE Main or CUET-UG. Similarly, those applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) must have a valid NATA score. Law aspirants for integrated programs like BA LLB or BBA LLB must qualify through CLAT UG. For programs like B.Sc Nursing, candidates must appear for NEET UG. In addition, for most undergraduate courses, the candidate should not be older than 21 years as of August 1, 2025.
For postgraduate programs, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates in select courses) from a recognised university.
