IIM Sirmaur is one of the later established IIMs in the Indian IIM series (also called ‘Baby IIMs’) and was actually set up on 4th January 2015 with its temporary campus location at Paonta Sahib, District of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh and with just the residential MBA programmes, later on MBA in Tourism & the full–time Ph.d course were introduced in the academic year 2019-20 (The temporary campus at Sirmaur now consists of the academic block (i.e., classrooms, library, and computer centre), the administrative block, Gymnasium and the hostel block.) It has been ranked 51st among the management institutes as per the official NIRF rankings.
The Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) laid its foundation stone on August 4, 2020. The inauguration ceremony of the institute was in the presence of Former Minister of Health- Dr Rajeev Bindal, and family welfare in the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Kirnesh Jung, MLA Paonta Sahib, Professor Rakesh Srivastava and Professor Bharat Bhaskar, the head of the task force committee of IIM Sirmaur, on behalf of Mentoring Institute IIM Lucknow.
The institute currently functions from a fully made 210 acres areawise campus located in Dhaula Kuan, Himachal Pradesh state. It has maintained this strong standing as 51st MBA in the NIRF MBA 2025 rankings as well, proving its consistent excellent academic and industry performance.

IIM Sirmaur Placement Overview
IIM Sirmaur completed its final placements for the MBA batch of 2023–25 with a 100% placement record. More than 225 companies, including 50 new recruiters, took part in the drive, offering roles in Consulting, Finance, General Management, IT/Analytics, and Sales & Marketing.
The average package was INR 13.3 LPA, and the highest domestic offer reached INR 28.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiters were Deloitte, IDBI Bank, Tata Power, IGT, SBICAPS, Tresvista, AIR INDIA, EY, CRISIL, Satsuru, Riya, Adani, HSBC, Tech Mahindra, Pwc, Hero, Club Mahindra, etc.
All students from PGP, EPGP, and IPM programs were successfully placed. The majority of offers came from the investment banking, consulting and finance sectors, highlighting IIM Sirmaur’s dominance in these fields.
Apart from on campus placements approximately 10% of the graduating batch (total 28 students) secured off-campus offers with reputed recruiters as Hyundai, Vayana, Vassar Labs, Vardhman Textiles, Citara, and American Express etc. These job roles were each pursued and secured by students, and their authenticity was confirmed by the institute.
IIM Sirmaur Campus & Facilities
The campus here is 100% vibrant and has a guest house, MDP centre, have multiple well-equipped living rooms, sufficient fully air-conditioned classrooms, office space, and a big lounge with excellent support systems & softwares and (AV) equipment etc with a lot of rest areas too.
