IIT Ropar Admission
IIT Ropar offers UG, PG, PhD, and Joint Phd Program such as BTech, MTech, MSc, MS, and PhD with various specialisations. Admission to these courses is based on valid entrance exam scores like JEE Advanced, GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

IIT Ropar Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026
IIT Ropar provides B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc, MS, and PhD courses at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. The application process has started, and the last date to apply online is July 2026 (Tentative). Interested students can apply through official portals or the website. Here’s an overview of the IIT Ropar Admission Eligibility Criteria:
BTech requires a minimum of 75% in PCM (65% for reserved category candidates) and a valid score in JEE Advanced.
MTech needs to have a valid GATE score with a Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in the relevant field (55% for SC/ST students).
BTech graduates from IITs with 8.0 CGPA (7.5 for SC/ST/PD) can get admission without GATE.
MSc course requires a valid IIT JAM score.
PhD requires a Master's degree, shortlisting will be based on a written test and an interview.

IIT Ropar Scholarship 2025
IIT Ropar offers various scholarships to support reserved category and financially weak students. The institute provides Merit-cum- Means scholarships to 25% students for the B.Tech program. It is offered to general category students at the time of admission, based on their All India Rank (AIR) in the JEE exam. The scholarship gives INR 1000 every month and also covers the tuition fees, so the student doesn't need to pay it. Students must meet certain academic requirements. Their performance is checked at the end of every academic year.
Students are exempt from paying their tuition fees for SC/ST students. Also, they have more benefits within the limit set by the Government of India. Students receive a scholarship of INR 300 per month and do not need to pay hostel fees. In case any student fails in the exam for the first time, the scholarship can still be continued or renewed maximum of 5 years.
