Indian Government Boosts Quantum Research with Rs 1 Crore Funding for 100 Engineering Colleges

To​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ promote quantum technology education, the Indian government is setting up teaching labs in 100 engineering colleges with a grant of INR 1 crore each. These labs will be the focus of undergraduate minor programs. The move, which is a departmental endeavor of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), has attracted more than 500 proposals. Out of these, 100 will be chosen for funding. Besides this, the government will invest around INR 720 crore to create two major quantum fabrication facilities at IIT Bombay and IISc Bengaluru.

University of Strathclyde Launches £7,000 Scholarships for International Physics Masters Students
