All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has officially declared the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET ) January 2026 Session 1 Seat allotment results for the open round for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery(MS), and Magister Chirurgiae(MCh) programmes to all its eligible candidates. The allotment list is made based on merit, and the choice made by the candidate depends on the availability of the seats. Candidates can easily download the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test(INI CET) 2026 result through the official website of AIIMS.
Candidates who have already been allotted the seats through the open round seat allotment of the INI CET January 2026 must confirm their allotment, submit all the essential documents, and also report to the institute, which is based on the candidate's choice of preference, before February 28, 11:00 am.
If a candidate does not submit the necessary certificates as required, their admission will be cancelled and the allotted seat, including the assigned institute and speciality, will be withdrawn. However, candidates who fail to report and join the institute within the specified deadline will forfeit the INR 3 lakh security deposit and may face further penalties as outlined in the Open Round Seat Allocation Information Brochure, the institute stated in an official announcement.
AIIMS INI CET 2026 Seats Details
THE INI CET January 2026 open round seat allotment list includes only those candidates who are eligible for seat allocation in the open round. The allotment has been prepared based on merit, candidates’ preferences, and the availability of seats. As an official notification released by the AIIMS, for the open round of seat allocation, the order of seat allocation by institute and subject or speciality was determined according to the original merit list and the applicable reservation category.
The INI CET 2026 examination was conducted for admission to postgraduate and super-speciality medical programmes, including MD, MS, MCh (6 years), DM (6 years), and MDS. These courses are offered at AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS campuses, along with Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) Bengaluru, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum.
