NEET PG 2026: National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued NEET PG 2026 application form on 1 July 2026 on the official website @nbe.edu.in, along with the last date to apply set as 21 July 2026. Candidates who made any mistakes in the application form will be able to edit their details from 25 to 28 July 2026. NEET PG 2026 test city information will be available on 11 August 2026 and the admit card will be released on 27 August 2026 while the NEET PG exam will be held on 30 August 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format as per the official guidelines. NBEMS has also revised the NEET PG 2026 exam pattern and released Information Bulletin with new guidelines for Test City, image uploading guidelines, Aadhaar authentication and Biometric verification to make it smooth for the enrollee when registering and appearing for the exam.

NEET PG 2026 exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 3 hours and 30 minutes with a marking scheme of +4 marks for every correct answer, -1 mark for every incorrect and no marks deducted for unanswered questions.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to various programmes such as MD, MS, PG Diploma and Post MBBS DNB offered by government, private, deemed and central medical colleges across India.

NEET PG 2026 exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 3 hours and 30 minutes with a marking scheme of +4 marks for every correct answer, -1 mark for every incorrect and no marks for unanswered questions. The NEET PG 2026 exam consists of 5 time-bound sections (A-E), each with 36 questions to be completed in 42 minutes. Candidates cannot switch sections early or review answers from a completed section.

Admission is conducted through centralized counselling based on NEET PG rank, eligibility, reservation policy and seat availability. Based on latest admission data, the exam provides access to approx 26,168 MD seats, 13,649 MS seats and 922 PG diploma seats across 6,100+ medical institutions nationwide, making it one of the most competitive medical entrance exams in India.

NEET PG 2026 Application Form

The NBEMS is accepting applications online via its official website from 1 July 2026 and application forms will be available for the NEET PG 2026 Exam till 21 July 2026. Interested candidates can apply within the provided dates. Important documents are required to be uploaded, which include personal and academic details, and pay the application fees through the provided online methods (INR 3,500 for General/OBC/EWS and INR 2,500 for SC/ST/PwD). NEET PG application correction window will be open from 25 to 28 July 2026 to allow any necessary corrections by applicants. The Admit card for the exam will be issued on 27 August 2026 and the exam will be held on 30 August 2026.

Step 1: Visit the official website of NBEMS.

Step 2: Go to the Examination tab and click on NEET PG 2026.

Step 3: Now, tap on ‘New Registration’ and register using a valid Email ID and mobile number.

Step 4: Fill in the required details as needed.

Step 5: Read the CAPTCHA and click on the ‘Submit button’ to generate your ID and password.

Step 6: Access the application portal using updated login credentials.

Step 7: Complete the application form by paying the fee online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 8: Once done, download and print the confirmation page for reference.

Initially, the NEET PG cutoff for 2024 was decided to be the 50th percentile for the general category, 45th percentile for the general-PwBD category, and 40th percentile for the rest of the reserved categories. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) subsequently reduced and revised these qualifying percentiles to the 15th percentile for General and EWS categories and the 10th percentile for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories.

The revised cut-off of NEET PG 2024 was:

  • General & EWS: 15th percentile - Later reduced to 5th percentile

  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD: 10th percentile - Later reduced to 5th percentile
