NIFTEE 2026 Registration Deadline Extended: Apply Now Before Closing

The deadline to register for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination 2026 (NIFTEE 2026) has been extended till January 13, 2026. The extension is provided so that no candidates are left out. Thousands of students who would have missed the original deadline can breathe a sigh of relief and have more time to prepare and complete their application process. Why the NIFTEE 2026 Deadline is Extended?

After hearing numerous requests from the students and institutions regarding complications and delays, the agency decided to allow additional time to the applicants. The deadline was extended because-

• Delays in application processing were due to technical difficulties with the application portal, and also delays in processing due to the high volume of applications, resulting in slow server performance.

• The requests from the community for additional time were acknowledged by the agency.

How to Apply for NIFTEE 2026?

Step 1: Candidates who have not filled out the application form can visit the link https://exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/.

Step 2: Once on the homepage, scroll down and find he link for registration for NIFTEE 2026 in the candidate activity area.

Step 3: The page that opens will have the link for the “Registration for NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 for UG and PG Programmes” and click on it. 

Step 4: Click on the new registration tab on the page, which will open. 

Step 5: Fill in all the details that are mentioned on the form, which will be opened and complete the registration process.

Importance of the Extension

• The extra time available due to the extension offers students an opportunity to prepare more thoroughly if they didn't meet the earlier deadline. 

• It also allows students who are taking their boards to reduce the amount of stress related to preparing multiple documents at once while continuing their studies. 

• In addition, it gives students who live in remote areas and/or have difficulties with access to the internet an equal opportunity to submit their applications.
