National Institute of Fashion Technology New Delhi offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The institute offers specialised courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Fashion Communication, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Accessory Design, Leather Design, Fashion Management, and many more.
NIFT Delhi admission process is done through the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Also, students need to meet the eligibility criteria that allow students to be admitted.
The design-based programs, such as B.Des and MDes, are both based on the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), while other programs are based only GAT entrance test. After the entrance, the second round is of group discussion and a personal interview, depending on the programs.
Students can fill out the application form via the NTA portal or the NIFT official website. The General, EWS, and OBC category candidates are expected to pay INR 3,000 as the application fee, whereas the SC, ST, and PwD category candidates are supposed to pay INR 1,500.

The National Institute of Fashion Hauz Khas New Delhi offers various programs in the field of fashion and management. Students follow some eligibility criteria to get admission to these programs. For more information, students need to check below points mentioned below:
For the B.Des and BF. Tech candidates, the 12th class examinations from a recognised board, and the age should be 24 years as of August 1st of the admission year. The age should be 19 years for the reserved categories.
For B.Des, students need to pass class 12th with mathematics as a compulsory subject from any recognised board
3 or 4 years diploma recognised by AICTE or a state board, or an undergraduate diploma of minimum 3 years duration from NIFT/NID.
For MDes and MFM programs, students must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised board or an Undergraduate diploma with a minimum of 3 years from NIFT/NID.
MF Tech students must have a BE/Tech or BFTech degree from a recognised university/institute.
For PhD Programs, candidates must have a Master’s degree in the field of design, management, and technology, with the required research skills.
Students need to clear the computer-based GAT (General Ability Test) and paper-based CAT (Creative Ability Test) entrance examination for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, according to the programs.
NIFT Delhi maintains a good placement record, with the institute's Training and Placement Cell that promotes employment opportunities for students. The placement process attracts leading national and international brands from the fashion, retail, textile, and lifestyle sectors.
The placement process was completed in two stages, from April 30 and May 16, 2025. The first phase was introduced on campus at New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, where the second phase was online.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Hauz Khas New Delhi offers multiple scholarship programs to support students. The institute uses a large part of its Development Fund to make sure that money issues do not come in the way of providing quality fashion education.
NIFT Delhi provides two primary scholarship schemes, such as the "SARTHAK" Financial Assistance Scheme provides tuition fee support based on annual household income. In this scholarship, undergraduate students with family income less than INR 2 Lakhs receive a 100% fee waiver, while those earning between INR 2 Lakhs to INR 4 Lakhs receive 75% of the tuition fee.
Students whose family income is INR 4 Lakh to INR 6 Lakhs receive 50%, and INR 6 Lakh to INR 8 Lakhs are eligible for 25% scholarship assistance. Postgraduate students have similar support structures with almost different percentages. The process is done online, and the application form is filled in the Campus Management System, where documents such as income certificates, 3 years ITR, PAN cards and bank statements are required
Another scheme is the "UDAAN" Scholarship that supports meritorious SARTHAK-eligible students pursuing international study opportunities with NIFT's partner institutes. It pays 100% tuition fees, accommodation, travel expenses, health insurance, and the subsistence allowances of $3,000-$5,000 per semester, depending on location. A maximum of three students are selected annually across all campuses.
