National Institute of Fashion Technology Bangalore offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also offers Continuing Education Programs, which are six-month to one-year programs, such as FCT, FRM, DPDS, AMMT, and others.
Candidates who want to get admission into these courses must fill out the application form available online at the official website of the institute. They must also appear for the National-Level NIFT Entrance Exam (NIFTEE), which also includes the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
Candidates who will fill out the admission form should submit the form after paying INR 3000 for the Open, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and Open-EWS categories. Whereas candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories are required to pay INR 1500.

The eligibility criteria vary based on the programs offered at NIFT Bangalore.
Candidates who want to get admission into the B.Des Programs, such as Accessory Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design, and more, should have passed class 12th from any recognised board.
For the MFM course, candidates should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline, or they should have an undergraduate diploma of minimum three years from NIFT/ NID.
Candidates applying for the M.F.Tech course should have a B.F.Tech degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
For the M.Des course, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university, or candidates should have an undergraduate diploma of a minimum of three years.
The NIFT Bangalore placements have a centralised placement process, where companies can recruit through three routes, which are facilitated by the institute. These routes are On-Campus Placement, Off-Campus Placement, and Pre-Placement Offers. In On-Campus placements, companies are invited to the placement drive organised by the Institute for all the eligible final year students of the NIFT campuses.
Off-Campus drives are those where the institute continues to facilitate job opportunities to its graduates through off-campus drives, where companies that couldn’t participate in campus placements raise requirements through the Industry & Alumni Affairs (I&AA) unit.

There are three scholarships offered by NIFT Bangalore; the first is the ‘Sarthak’ NIFT Financial Assistance, which applies to all the regular students of the NIFT who fulfil the scholarship eligibility criteria. Second is the ‘UDAAN’-NIFT Scholarship Scheme for Foreign students, in which students fulfilling the ‘Sarthak’ scholarship eligibility criteria.
Third is the National Scholarship, under which students belonging to the SC/ST category can avail themselves of the National Scholarship available on the National Scholarship Portal.
