XLRI Jamshedpur Launches Global PGDM with US & French Partners.webp

Xavier School of Management (XLRI‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌), a pioneer and highly reputed business school of India, has come up with a new PGDM (BM) program featuring international specialisation tracks. These tracks have been developed by collaborating with leading universities in the U.S. and France. The purpose is to respond to the worldwide demand for managers with a solid grounding in management and in-depth knowledge of modern, interdisciplinary areas.

The international tracks are all about the skills required in rapidly changing industries that are mainly technology, data, and complex business systems-driven. Students of this program are going to do the common first-year PGDM (BM) courses at XLRI Jamshedpur and then take advanced specialisation subjects at the partner universities in their second year. Upon fulfilling all the requirements, through a well-defined credit-transfer system, the students will be awarded a PGDM (BM) degree from XLRI and an MS/MBA degree from the partner ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌university.

XLRI Partnership with Global Universities

Each‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ specialisation has over 400 hours of in-depth study, which means students gain much more knowledge than with a regular MBA specialisation. Students will first study the core subjects of the first year at XLRI and then take basic second-year courses. After that, they will go to the partner university in the Fall semester to complete their specialisation classes.

Almost all specialisations available through XLRI’s U.S. partner universities are STEM-designated. Thus, students can apply for OPT (Optional Practical Training) as per U.S. regulations. Students opting for specialisations at the French partner universities will be able to obtain a 12-month residence/work permit, which can be extended, as per the Indo-French mobility ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌agreements.

Admission Process for Partnership Program

Students‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ chosen for this program can enjoy the comprehensive academic and career support services of both XLRI and the partner universities. This means that they will have the opportunity to attend career fairs, industry events, and development programs. By utilising the credit-transfer system and scholarships provided by partner universities, students can obtain two globally recognised degrees at a significantly lower total cost.

The admission process for International Specialisation Tracks is identical to that of the regular PGDM (BM) program at XLRI. To apply, a candidate should have completed four years of full-time study after Class 12 (10+2+4 or equivalent). In the XAT application form, applicants can directly indicate their choice of the specialization ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌track.
