The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has now opened applications for admission in the academic session 2026-27 for various cross-disciplinary programs like Generative AI, Cloud Security, Healthcare Management, and Liberal Studies. Registrations are now open for the HITSEEE 2026 engineering entrance exam, with candidates given the option to participate online or in person. Applications must be submitted by April 22, 2026. Both Indian nationals and international students can apply via hindustanuniv.ac.in.
HITSCAT 2026: Admission Schedule
Admission to engineering, technology, architecture, and design programs is done through the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE). HITSEEE assesses knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, English, and general awareness.
Meanwhile, admission to non-engineering courses is conducted via the HITS Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT). Applications for HITSCAT 2026 open on December 10, with exams scheduled for May 25 and 26. Candidates who pass these exams will proceed to merit-based counselling from June 1 to June 5. Classes for all the programs will begin in July 2026.

Hindustan University Launches New AI and Global Programmes
For the 2026-27 academic year, HITS has launched multiple interdisciplinary and industry-oriented programs. The BTech CSE programs include specializations in Generative AI and Cloud Security created in partnership with Google, along with degree courses in Economics & Finance, Political Science & International Relations, Catering, and Visual Arts. Additionally, there are Executive MBA and Master's Degree in Healthcare Management programs.
Hindustan University Eligibility Criteria for Admission
To be eligible to apply for an engineering degree programme at the University of Hindustan, a candidate must have achieved 60% or higher in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics during their 12th Grade studies. Both new and existing Engineering Degree Programs will commence on 1st July 2026.
