The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai has launched a new Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy Management (PGDPPM) course. The programme is developed in collaboration with the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India and is being offered with the support of Talentsprint, a part of Accenture, which will facilitate the digital learning platform. The institute refers to it as a one-year, 45-credit program designed for professionals at the mid-career level from the government, corporate, and social sectors.
The syllabus includes core subjects of public policy, sustainability, technology, strategy and leadership. Moreover, it offers policy simulations, real-world projects, and peer learning exercises to enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of policy issues and management challenges.
IIM Mumbai will select officers sponsored by the DoPT, as well as other eligible candidates, in accordance with the agreement signed with the Government of India. The institute believes that such a blend of students will expose different viewpoints and thus make the interaction during the class more ββββββββββββββββvaluable.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
Applicationsββββββββββββββββ for the batch which is commencing in February 2026 are currently being accepted. The last date for submission of the application form is 20 December 2025. Candidates wishing to apply should possess a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the marks or an equivalent CGPA and should have a minimum of five years of work experience.
Admission will be decided based on the IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT) score or a valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score from the last five years. A personal interview will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates. Below are the important dates for these entrances accepted:
