Theββββββββββββββββ National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has started the registration process for the NIFTEE 2026. The entrance test is conducted by NTA for the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), NLEA, Artisans and PhD programmes of the NIFT for the academic year 2026-27. The exam will be conducted by the NTA on February 8, 2026. The examination to be held in 100 cities in India will be conducted in two modes, viz. Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen & Paper Test (PBT) so that candidates from all over the country can have the flexibility and facility of appearing in the ββββββββββββββββtest.

NIFT EE 2026 will be held for a wide number of UG, PG and PhD courses which are offered by all the top NIFTs like NIFT Delhi, NIFT Navi Mumbai, NIFT Bangalore, NIFT Chennai, and NIFT Hyderabad. Below are the major courses offered by NIFT along with their selection process.
Undergraduate (UG):
Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - based on GAT & CAT, followed by a Situation Test.
Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) - based on GAT.
Postgraduate (PG):
Master of Design (M.Des.) - GAT + CAT + Personal Interview.
Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.) - GAT + Personal Interview.

Application Process of NIFT 2026
Step 1- Aspirants who are eyeing to take the NIFT EE 2026 will have to visit the official NTA website https://exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/.
Step 2- Scroll down below and choose the category in which the students want to apply for like for UG and PG programmes or PhD programmes, etc.
Step 3- Register with basic details and create login credentials.
Step 4- After doing the registration, fill the application form carefully, including programme choice and exam city preference.
Step 5- Upload the required documents:
Recent photograph (live photo + scanned photo).
Signature.
PwD candidates must upload a valid UDID card.
Step 6- After uploading the necessary documents, pay the application fee online.
Step 7- Submit the completed form and then download the confirmation page for the further admission process.
NIFT 2026 Examination Cities
The exam will be conducted in 100 cities across India, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Guwahati, and Srinagar. While filling the application form, candidates can select their choice of examination city from the given options.

Whatβs Next After Doing the NIFT 2026 Registration?
The Registration window of the NIFT 2026 will be closed on January 6, 2025, after which the correction window will be opened from January 12, 2025. The admit card will be released in the month of January 2026, before the exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on February 8, 2026. The results of it will be declared on the official website, followed by further rounds depending on the programmes chosen.
