Delhi University invites UG admissions 2025 through the Armed Forces Children and Widows quota, for a total of 7790 applicants. The university has released a provisional merit list of all the candidates eligible under this quota and has requested all the candidates to carefully review and check their eligibility and the status of priority as mentioned on the official website.

As notified by the examination authorities, July 28, 2025, is the last date to submit the original and applicable documents of educational records and concession certificates before midnight. This is the final window for updating the documents, and no further action can be taken post this deadline. 

As per the regulations of the quota, only 5% seats in all of the UG programmes across the participating colleges of the University of Delhi are reserved for the children and widows of the army personnel. Admissions through this quota are allotted based on the Defence Ministry’s priority. At the time of admission, the registered candidates will be required to provide a current Early Childhood Care certificate issued by the Government of India. 

The University has duly announced that the admission to this quota will begin after the general round seat allocation.

Priority Under the Armed Forces Children and Widow Quota

The Defence Ministry releases a list of priorities for the admissions through the Army Force Children and Widows Quota, which are as follows: 

Priority Categories

Beneficiaries 

Priority I

Children and Widows of defence personnel killed in action

Priority II

Children of personnel disabled in action 

Priority III

widows or children of those who died

Priority IV

Children of personnel disabled in service and boarded out due to disability

Priority VI

Children of ex-servicemen or serving personnel

Priority VII

Children of ex-servicemen

Priority VIII

Wives of defence personnel who were disabled in action or service

Priority IX

Wards and wives of currently serving personnel

It is advised for the applicants to visit DU’s official website at www.admission.uod.ac.in for staying updated with all the further developments and notifications to be released further.
