The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Apex Board has released the counselling dates for the Direct Admission of Students Abroad Undergraduate (DASA UG). According to the official schedule, DASA UG Counselling 2026 will begin on 28th July 2026, and the last date for completing the registration process is 3rd August 2026. Applicants who are eligible and willing to participate in the DASA seat allotment process can log in to the DASA 2026 Seat Allocation portal using their JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password.
After completing the login process, applicants are required to complete registration, pay a registration fee (DASA Enrolment Fee), upload required documents, and complete the choice filling of colleges as well as courses they wish to apply for.
The admission formalities will begin from 13th August 2026 to 18th August 2026 (tentative). During this time, students must visit their allotted institute in person and pay the remaining institute fee to confirm their admission. The exact reporting dates will be finalised later by the authorities and participating institutes. Students who get a seat through DASA UG 2026 counselling must ensure to complete this in-person reporting process at their allotted institute. The detailed DASA Counselling Schedule is given below.

What is DASA UG Counselling 2026?
The DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) is a counselling and admission process under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Through DASA Counselling 2026, Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) can get admission in the B.Tech, BE, B.Arch and B.Plan programmes offered by various institutes such as NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, and some other technical institutions.
Admission through DASA is based on the candidate's JEE Main 2026 performance. Students applying for B.E./B.Tech. programs must have a valid rank in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1, while those applying for B.Arch. or B.Plan. programs must have a valid score in Paper 2A or Paper 2B, respectively.
Requirements to Participate in DASA Counselling 2026
To participate in the DASA UG 2026, candidates must be Foreign Nationals, OCI, PIO, or NRI. Candidates must be born on or after 1 October 2001 and have a valid JEE Main 2026 rank: Paper 1 for B.Tech./B.E., Paper 2A for B.Arch., or Paper 2B for B.Plan. Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with the required subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks or 7.5 CGPA. Students appearing for Class 12 in 2025–26 and expecting results by 30 September 2026 are also eligible to apply.
