The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has officially opened the registration process for the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026. Candidates aspiring to secure admission to engineering programmes offered by COMEDK member institutions can now apply through the official website.
The online application process began on Tuesday at 2 PM and will continue until March 16, 2026. It has been advised that students should apply as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical problems.
How to Apply for COMEDK UGET 2026
Applicants have to register online and the procedure is as follows:

Documents Required for Registration
Applicants must prepare the following documents for registration:
Passport sized photograph (according to the instructions)
The scanned copy of the candidates signature
Class 10 marksheet/certificate (for age proof)
Details of Class 12 or equivalent examination
Valid government, issued photo ID
Email ID and mobile number
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have passed or should be appearing in Class 12 or an equivalent examination
Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or any other recognized subject are compulsory
Minimum marks required:
There are no age restrictions or domicile requirements, and candidates from all over India are eligible
Exam Date and Pattern
As per the schedule, COMEDK UGET 2026 will be conducted on May 9. It has been a practice to conduct the test on the second Sunday of May every year.
The computer based test will be held at various locations across the country. The duration of the test will be three hours and it will have a total of 180 multiple choice questions, each carrying one mark. The test will be separated into three parts, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Admission Process
The scores of UGET 2026 will be utilized for admission into more than 150 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka, which are affiliated with the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA). The entrance exam will be followed by the publication of rank lists and a centralized single-window counseling process organized by COMEDK.
