UPSC EPFO 2025 Registration Deadline Extended: Know How to Apply & More

The Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, has extended the registration deadline for the 2025 EPFO recruitment drive. The last date to fill the form for the recruitment was 18th August 2025, which has now been extended till 22nd August 2025. This opportunity is for candidates aiming to secure government jobs under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour and Employment. The recruitment is for two posts: Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC). The recruitment is for a total of 230 vacancies.

To apply for these given posts, candidates must meet certain eligibility  requirements, such as: 

• Educational Qualification:

  • For EO/AO: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • For APFC: Bachelor’s degree required; preference given to candidates with qualifications in Law, Public Administration, or Labour Laws.

• Age Limit:

  • For EO/AO: Maximum age is 30 years.

  • For APFC: Maximum age is 35 years.

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

How to Apply for UPSC EPFO 2025 Exam?

Candidates must apply online through the official UPSC website, such as upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. Here is the step-by-step guide on how to apply for the posts: 

• Visit the UPSC website and click on “Apply Online.”

• Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if you’re a new user.

• Log in using your credentials.

• Fill in the application form with accurate details.

• Upload scanned copies of required documents such as your photo, signature, and more 

• Pay the application fee online.

• Review the form and submit it.

• Save and print the confirmation page for future use.

UPSC EPFO Exam 2025 Application Fee

Candidates need to pay an amount of INR 25 only to apply for the posts if the candidate belongs to the General/OBC or EWS Category. Meanwhile, if the candidate is a ST/SC/PwBD or a Female candidate, there is no application fee. That is the candidate's need to pay no amount for the application. 

Note:- that the Payment can be made via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

UPSC EPFO Selection Process

The recruitment will follow a two-stage process: a Written Test and an Interview.

1. Written Test (Combined Recruitment Test - CRT): This test will be pen and paper-based, including objective-type questions with equal marks. Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the question paper. Both English and Hindi medium will be available in the paper. Candidates need to be cautious while answering the questions as they include negative making. 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong question that the candidate answers.  

2. Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview. Final selection will be done based on performance in both stages.
