The CLAT 2026 results were released by the Consortium of National Law Universities on December 16, 2025. According to the notification, the candidates can visit the official website of the CLAT to view their scorecards. The result also contains the final answer key of the CLAT 2026 exam, which was prepared after taking into consideration the objections of the students.
Following the announcement of the results the CNLU will begin the registration process for CLAT 2026 counselling. Selected candidates will have to apply online through the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025, for admissions to law programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at National Law Universities and the other participating institutes. The exam saw registrations from more than 92,000 candidates of which 88,657 candidates appeared for the exam. Thus, the attendance rate was almost 96 per cent. Among those who took the test, 75,009 appeared for the UG exam, while 17,335 candidates sat for the PG exam.
The CLAT 2026 scorecard will include important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, application ID, marks secured, All India Rank and category-wise rank. As seen in previous years, the declaration of results will be followed by the launch of the centralised counselling process conducted by the consortium.
Steps to Download CLAT 2026 Result
Refer to the steps given below for downloading the CAT Scorecards 2026 once they are released on December 17, 2025 by the NLU Lucknow.
Step 1: Visit the CLAT 2026 official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the homepage and then click on the link to the CLAT 2026 Results.
Step 3: After clicking on the link, you will be redirected to the login page, log in using your registered phone number and password.
Step 4: After logging in, you will be able to access your result scorecard.
Step 5: Carefully go through all the details mentioned on the scorecard and then download it for future reference.
CLAT 2026 Results: What’s Next?
Once the results are declared, the CNLUs will open counselling registration. Qualified candidates must complete online registration, fill in their preferred NLUs and courses, and take part in multiple rounds of seat allocation.
In each round of counselling the cut-off ranks for every National Law University and program will be made available, and these will vary depending on the institution, category, and the availability of seats. Those candidates who are allotted seats should finish their document verification and, if possible, make the admission fee payment within the stipulated time in order to confirm their admission.
