CLAT 2026 Answer Key: The CLAT 2026 Answer Key is an important document released by the Consortium of Law Universities (NLUs). Candidates can use the CLAT 2026 answer key to confirm their answers and estimate their scores prior to the announcement of the official results. For the 2026 session, the CLAT 2026 exam was scheduled for 7 December 2025. Meanwhile, the provisional answer key CLAT 2026 exam was released on 10 December 2025. Candidates can review the CLAT 2026 provisional key and raise objections within a specified window from 10 to 12 December 2025. After that, the officials released the final answer key on 16 December 2025. For the CLAT Undergraduate 2026 exam, the provisional answer key was deemed accurate and therefore accepted as final. In contrast, the CLAT PG Final Answer Key was issued after modifications were made to three specific questions. These final answer keys were then used for the announcement of the results.

Declaration of CLAT 2026 Result

16 December 2025

The CLAT 2026 provisional answer key was made public by the Consortium of NLUs on 10 December 2025. The provisional answer key provides the solutions to each question asked in the exam. Using this Clat answer key, candidates can compare their responses and get an idea of their approximate scores before the results declaration. Furthermore, candidates will have a specific window to raise objections if they find any discrepancies or errors in the provisional answer key.

The process for raising objections is conducted online through the official CLAT website, and candidates must submit a fee of INR 500 per objection. If the objection is found valid, the fee is refunded to the candidate’s account. Once all objections are reviewed, the Consortium will publish the final answer key, which is used for result calculation and is not open to further challenges.

CLAT 2026 Final Answer Key

The Consortium of National Law Universities released the CLAT 2026 Final Answer Key on 16 December 2025, after reviewing objections from candidates. For the UG exam, there are no changes to the provisional answer key released on 10 December, so it stands as final and scoring will be out of 119 marks.

In the PG exam, three questions saw modifications after expert committees and the Oversight Committee, chaired by former Supreme Court Judge V. Gopala Gowda who reviewed objections. For Set A: Question 26 (now C & D, awarding marks for either), Question 31 (changed from A to C) and Question 111 (changed from B to C); equivalent questions in Sets B, C, and D follow the same pattern.

The following are the simple steps to download both UG & CLAT PG 2026 answer keys:

Step 1: Go to the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2: Search the CLAT Answer Key 2026 option on the homepage and click on it.

Step 3: Choose your exam set (A, B, C, or D)

Step 4: Now, the chosen CLAT answer key will appear as a PDF document

Step 5: Lastly, tap on the download option to save the file to your device

How to Use the CLAT Answer Key to Calculate Scores?

Here is how candidates can use the CLAT answer key to calculate their CLAT 2026 score:

  1. Download the official CLAT 2026 Answer Key PDF according to your question paper set from a trusted source.

  2. Compare your answers from the response sheet and cross-check each answer with the correct answers in the answer key.

  3. Follow the CLAT Marking Scheme:

  • Give yourself +1 mark for every correct answer

  • Deduct 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

  • Give 0 marks for unattempted questions

4. Next, calculate your total scores. For this, you can use the formula: CLAT Score = (Number of Correct Answers Γ— 1) – (Number of Incorrect Answers Γ— 0.25)

  • Example: If you answered 100 questions correctly and 20 incorrectly,

  • Correct: 100 Γ— 1 = 100 marks

  • Incorrect: 20 Γ— 0.25 = 5 marks

  • Total Score: 100 – 5 = 95 marks

Candidates have the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit the CLAT official website.

Step 2: Log in with your credentials, which consist of your registered mobile number and password.

Step 3: Click on the button labelled Submit Objection or Provisional Answer Key Objection found in the candidate dashboard.

Step 4: Select your Question Booklet set (A, B, C, or D)

Step 5: Select the type of objection and enter the question number and reason for your objection.

Step 6: Attach supporting documents to justify your objection.

Step 7: Pay the objection fee of INR 1,000 per objection through online payment modes. If the objection is accepted, the fee will be refunded back to your account.

Step 8: Submit your objection before the last date of objection.
