AIBE 20 Registration Extended: New Deadline on October 31, 2025, Check Revised Schedule

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has formally extended the registration deadline of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 (XX) to October 31, 2025. Previously, the deadline to submit the registration was October 28, 2025, but the extension was necessitated by many technical problems encountered by aspirants and requests by student bodies. The AIBE is an important qualifying test through which law graduates are granted their Certificate of Practice (CoP), which permits them to practice law in the Indian courts. The test will be taken on November 30, 2025.

The extension followed numerous complaints by many candidates that the registration portal had technical glitches, which prevented them from completing the registration process. The National Law Universities Students Association (NLUSA) was also in support of the increase in eligibility to cover final-year students of trimester systems who were enrolled in the LLB, which also contributed to the extension.

• The applicants should possess an LL.B. degree from a law school that is recognized by the BCI.

• Registration in any State Bar Council is obligatory.

• The exam is also open to law graduates and possibly final year students, subject to the decisions of the council.

Step 1: Navigate to the official site of AIBE and click on the AIBE 20 (XX) registration link.

Step 2: Register by entering your enrollment number, personal details (name, DOB, gender, contact).

Step 3: Verify with the OTP sent to your mobile/email, and then log in with the credentials received via email.

Step 4: Fill the application form with academic and enrollment details.

Step 5: Upload required documents: recent passport photo, signature, enrollment certificate, and LLB degree.

Step 6: Choose an exam center and preferred language and pay the application fee online.
