The West Bengal Government has released the provisional merit list for NEET UG Counselling 2025. The state has around 11,178 students shortlisted for MBBS and BDS admissions, according to the official sources. 

The last date to lock the choices was 17th August, and the seat allotment results will be out on 20th August 2025. This list is based on the 85% state quota. The seat matrix too has been released by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC), confirming a total of 5589 seats on offer in MBBS and BDS programs.

The eligible candidates can download and check their merit list by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Candidates can visit the official website: https://wbmcc.nic.in/ 

Step 2: Go to the Notice and Events section and access the provisional merit list link.  

Step 3:  Now, check the PDF using Ctrl+F and search for your roll number in this.

What Is the WB NEET Counselling Seat Matrix?

The WB seat matrix for NEET Counselling shows the distribution of seats across MBBS and BDS programs in various government and private colleges in West Bengal. This year, a total of 5,589 seats have been made available by WBMCC, which helps candidates understand their chances and options for admission.

Why Was the Merit List Revised?

The WBMCC revised the provisional merit list after verifying candidate details, resolving any discrepancies, and processing correction requests. This ensures fairness and transparency in the counselling process. 

Documents Required at the Time of College Reporting

Once seats are allotted, candidates must report to their respective colleges from 21st to 23rd August. They should also carry all necessary documents, including

  • NEET admit card and scorecard

  • Provisional allotment letter

  • Original and photocopies of identity proof

  • Category certificates (if applicable)

  • Educational qualification certificates

What to Expect in Round 2 Counselling

Candidates who do not get a seat in the first round or want to try for better options can register for Round 2 counselling on 27th August. Applicants must stay updated on the official website and complete the registration on time.
