UPSC Recruitment 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for 84 posts of lecturers and public prosecutors in various disciplines for the year 2025. The interested applicants can apply through the official website at upsconline.gov.in. The application deadline is September 11, 2025.

Lecturers will get a pay scale of INR 52,700 to 1,66,700. Public Prosecutors will receive a pay scale of INR 56,100 to 1,77,500 and Assistant Public Prosecutors will receive INR 44,900 to 1,42,400. Lecturers are recruited in different subjects.

Steps to Apply for the UPSC Recruitment 2025 

Applications have to be made online via the Online Recruitment Application portal. Following is an easy step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in 

Step 2: Click on the "Recruitment/Advertisement" tab.

Step 3: Choose the Online Recruitment Application link or the link for 'UPSC Lecturer, Public Prosecutor' vacancies.

Step 4: Sign up as a new user, if you have not already done so, and then log in using your credentials.

Step 5: Complete the application form thoroughly with accurate details.

Step 6: Upload all the documents as required in the notice.

Step 7: Pay the application fee (if applicable) via one of the following modes:

Step 8: Cash at any SBI branch, net banking through any bank, and credit/debit card, UPI, or Visa/Master/Rupay cards.

Step 9: Submit the form and print it for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Recruitment 2024

For Lecturer Post: Applying for the lecturer position, the applicant needs to possess a postgraduate degree in his or her concerned subjects like botany, physics, etc., with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. The maximum age limit is 45 years but relaxation on age can be provided to candidates of reserved categories. The posts of lecturer are specifically for postings in the Ladakh area.

For Public Prosecutor Post: For Public Prosecutor jobs, candidates should have a degree in law from a recognized university and must have at least 7 years' experience practicing criminal law at the Bar. Assistant Public Prosecutor posts require no experience. The age limit is 30 years. Those selected public prosecutors will be deployed at the CBI Headquarters in Delhi but can be posted anywhere in India.
