The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ National Testing Agency (NTA) has communicated the final date for the UGC NET December 2025 examination registration. The registration window will be closing on November 7, 2025, at 11:50 PM. This is an extremely important notification to all candidates who want to make a career in the field of teaching and research. If you are going to be an Assistant Professor, want a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or plan to start research in a program, it is very important to finish your work quickly. Applicants should go to the official UGC NET website and finish their application well in advance of the last date, as a condition to make use of this ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌opportunity.

It is a must for the candidates who have not filed their UGC NET applications to take the following actions promptly so as not to miss out on their chance:

Step 1: Sign up through online means at the UGC NET official portal ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 

Step 2: Provide correct and accurate details of the personal life and academic achievements in the form.

Step 3: Attach the required files.

Step 4: Using the authorized mode, pay the required amount corresponding to the category of the candidate. The fees are as follows: 

• INR 1150 for General, 

• INR 600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL, 

• INR 325 for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender.

Step 5: Get the print or the soft copy of the confirmation page after submitting the form for future use.

NOTE: It is very important to confirm the payment of the fee. The registration process will only be considered complete if the application fee is paid successfully. After the payment process, no alterations will be permitted, so candidates should be sure of their details before they finalize their transaction.

UGC NET 2025: Correction Window and Exam Dates

If any applicant wishes to rectify mistakes in their application, he/she will be able to do so from November 10 to 12, as there will be an opportunity for changes in some aspects of the application form, limited to a few details only. The computer-based UGC NET exam will be conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, across the country, covering 85 subjects.
