RRB Recruitment 2026 update: 22,000 vacancies are to be released for the Indian Railways Level 1 Group D

A short notice has been released for the upcoming recruitment for the Level 1 Group D posts by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Around 22,000 vacancies in the rural banks will be opened. All these job posts are from the Level 1 category, from the 7th CPC pay matrix. The short notice is just an indication and gives prior notification. Applicants must keep checking the updates to the official CEN No. 09/2025 for all the required details after the official release. The starting salary range for the Level-1 positions is in the range of INR 18,000 to 35,000 per month, as per the candidate’s location and post.

The registration process will be initiated from January 21, 2026, and last till February 20, 2026. This is prior information released by the RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) for candidates interested in railway jobs who have already passed their high school. They can start preparing for the examination and check their eligibility in advance, so that they can prepare their documents in advance and make their application process smooth at the time of registration.

RRB Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Below is the eligibility criteria for the RRB recruitment 2026: 

• The age limit to apply for the post is between 18 and 40 years of age. 

• The minimum educational qualification for the post is high school. 

• ITI passouts will be prioritised compared to other candidates. 

• Candidates need to clear the CBT, Physical and Medical Examination to qualify for the examination. 

• The application fee for the general, OBC and EWS categories is INR 500. On the other hand, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and women need to pay INR 250 at the time of registration.
