NEET Round 2 registration 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the NEET UG Round 2 Counselling registration and payment for All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed and Central Universities from 3rd September 2026. Candidates who have appeared for the Round 1 counselling and are not satisfied with the allotted seats can register themselves for NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2026 from the official website, which is https://mcc.nic.in/. Candidates should note that the Round 2 choice-filling process will also commence alongside registration. 

The last date for completing the registration for Round 2 counselling is 8th September 2026, whereas the choice-filling process will continue till 9th September 2026. Based on the preferences of the candidates, MCC will declare results on 11th September 2026. For state counselling, Round 2 will begin on September 7 and continue until September 11. Candidates who are allotted a seat through either AIQ or state counselling must complete the joining process by September 18.

How to register for MCC NEET Round 2 counselling?

The NEET UG Round 2 Counselling will begin on 3rd September 2026 and applicants who are not satisfied with allotted seats and colleges can update their choices in Round 2 counselling. Candidates are advised to follow the steps given below to avoid any kind of last-minute mistakes in completing the registration process for Round 2 counselling.

Step 1: Visit the official website of MCC, which is https://mcc.nic.in/.

Step 2: Now, access the UG Medical Counselling section on the homepage. 

Step 3: Click on “New Registration for UG Counselling 2026” in the Candidate Activity section. 

Step 4: Get the credentials and complete the registration.

Step 5: Log in again to the profile using the credentials. 

Step 6: Pay the registration fees using the modes of payment available. 

Step 7: Choose the programmes as well as courses in the choice filling. 

Step 8: Check all the preferences before locking them. 

Documents required for NEET counselling Round 2

At the time of NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2026 registration, candidates must ensure they have all the documents provided below ready. 

• NEET UG 2026 Score Card and Admission Card 
• Class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets  
• Valid Photo ID like Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport
• Passport-size photograph
• Caste/Category Certificate (if any)
• Provisional Allotment letter available online on the MCC website

Who is Eligible to Participate in NEET UG Round 2 Counselling? 

As per the MCC Counselling rules, candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 are eligible to take part in Round 2. Apart from this, applicants who were allotted a seat in Round 1 can also participate in Round 2 if they selected the “Float” option, which means they are willing to upgrade to a better seat or college. Candidates who selected “Freeze” will keep their Round 1 seat and will not be considered for an upgrade in Round 2.

Candidates who received a seat in Round 1 and want to participate in Round 2 for upgradation must complete the required online process and submit the necessary documents. Under the revised 2026 system, candidates who choose the Float option do not have to visit the allotted college for physical document verification. Instead, the institute will verify their documents online.
