The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for July admission 2026. Candidates and working professionals who want to complete their studies with flexibility can now apply until 30th September 2026. The deadline has been extended for all the courses except semester-based and certification courses. Applicants can register online on the official Samarth portal of IGNOU which is https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
Candidates are advised to fill and submit the online application before the IGNOU July 2026 admission last date to avoid any last-minute hassle. Also, before starting the registration process, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee with a late fee of INR 200 and create an APPAR ID. The email ID and Mobile Number will be verified at the time of registration through OTP.
How to Complete IGNOU July Registration 2026?
The last date for completing IGNOU July registration 2026 is 30th September 2026. Candidates who have not completed the registration yet must complete the registration before the last date. Applicants can follow the steps given below for a smooth registration process.
Step 1: Firstly, candidates have to access the official Samarth portal https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
Step 2: Now, on the homepage, select the “Click Here for New Registration" link.
Step 3: Start filling the form and click on “Register” for generating user ID and password.
Step 4: Log in and choose the course as well as the study material mode.
Step 5: Upload all the documents in the required format.
Step 6: Pay the application fee of INR 300 and the late fee through available modes of payment and submit.
Step 7: Download the confirmation page and take the printout for future reference.
Note: Candidates are required to create an APAAR ID before completing the IGNOU Admission Registration 2026.
IGNOU Registration Fee, Cancellation and Refund Rules
Before cancelling the IGNOU application, candidates must keep all these important fee and refund rules in mind.
- The registration fee is non-refundable and will not be returned after cancellation.
- Applicants can cancel their application by logging into their IGNOU account. However, if an application is cancelled, it cannot be refunded.
- If the IGNOU Admission 2026 is not confirmed yet, the amount paid will be refunded as per IGNOU’s rules.
- If the admission is already confirmed, 15% of the programme fees will be deducted from the refund, subject to a maximum deduction of INR 2,000.
- Applicants who opt for the soft-copy study material will receive a refund after deducting only the registration fee.
- Students who are eligible for fee exemption will get a refund of the development fee only.
- Refunds will not be processed after 60 days from the last date of admission.
