The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which comes under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has launched the NEET PG 2025 counselling activities for admission to medical and dental postgraduate courses all over India. As part of the process, an exclusive NRI verification window is available till October 28, 2025. Candidates willing to take admission under the NRI quota must send the necessary documents to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com for verification via ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌email.

The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ first round and reset registrations for NEET PG have been enabled as part the main process, with 10 a.m. on November 5, 2025, as the last date for the same. It will be the seat matrix and detailed counselling schedule that will be released next. The NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted on August 3 and the results were announced on August 19. The total number of postgraduate seats is 52,244 including 2,337 newly approved by the NMC mainly in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌Nadu.

Types of Seats Covered

The MCC oversees counselling for:

  • 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats from government medical colleges (excluding J&K).

  • 100% of seats in Central Universities (AMU, BHU, DU, etc.).

  • 100% of seats in deemed universities across India.

  • ESIC​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Institutions: AIQ PG seats for wards of insured persons.

  • AFMS Institutions: Registration only (seat allotment via AFMS).

The centralised endeavour is a kind of control, which guarantees openness and standardisation of PG admission procedures in all the states and institutions that take part in the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌process.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

Step 1: Head over to mcc.nic.in and select the "PG Medical Counselling 2025" option.

Step 2: Press the button "New Registration" or "Reset Registration".

Step 3: Fill in the NEET PG roll number, date of birth, and other basic details.

Step 4: The user must verify their contact number and email through an OTP sent to them.

Step 5: The user must pay the registration as well as security fees through online mode.

Step 6: Alongside other documents, the user must upload his/her photo, signature, NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree, internship certificate, and ID proof.

Step 7: Applicants under the NRI category should send their documents via email to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com before October 28.

Step 8: After the time table has been published, you can enter your selections and then save ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌them.
