The Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, released the notification for the acceptance of the AP TET (Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) application form 2025. The online registration for AP TET has already started from 24th October 2025, and it will continue till 23rd November 2025. Eligible candidates from Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or equivalent can apply. The AP TET Exam 2025 will be held on 10 December 2025 as a computer-based test in all districts of Andhra Pradesh. Step 3: Register yourself by providing your Aadhar number and security captcha.
Step 4: Complete the registration to generate a candidate ID and password.
Step 5: Now, log in using the credentials, and fill in all the details.
Step 6: Pay an application fee to complete the application form.
Step 7: Print and take the application form success confirmation page for further processing.
About the AP TET Exam and Paper
The AP TET 2026 exam will be held for Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B, designed for candidates looking to teach students of classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8. Each paper of AP TET contains a total of 150 marks, which requires a minimum passing marks set according to candidates' category: 60% for OC/EWS, 50% for BC, and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD and ex-servicemen.
The hall tickets for AP TET 2025 will be available starting 3rd December 2025. The provisional answer key is set to be released on 2nd January 2026, followed by the declaration of final results on 19 January 2026. Obtaining the AP TET qualification is compulsory for becoming a teacher in government, aided, and private schools across Andhra Pradesh. According to NCTE guidelines, the TET certificate is valid for a lifetime. Additionally, the AP TET score will constitute 20% of the total weightage in future Teacher Recruitment Tests (TRT) conducted by the state government.
