Karnataka TET 2025: Notification Released, Registrations to start from 23rd October
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka, has released a notification for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2025. The registration begins on October 23, 2025, and closes on November 9, 2025. The exam is scheduled for Dec 7, 2025. Candidates aspiring to teach in a school from standard 1st to 8th in Karnataka must pass the KARTET 2025 examination. KARTET 2025 Criteria for Eligibility
Paper I (For Classes 1–5):
PUC or equivalent with 50% marks and passed/pursuing 2-year D.El.Ed, or
PUC or equivalent with 50% and a 4-year B.El.Ed, or
50% in Senior Secondary with a 2-year Diploma in Special Education, or
Graduation with 50% and D.El.Ed or B.Ed.
Paper II (For Classes 6–8):
Graduation with 50% and D.El.Ed/B.Ed
Senior Secondary with 50% and a 4-year B.El.Ed
Graduation with 50% and a B.Ed (Special Education).
Reserved categories receive 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
Steps to Apply for KARTET 2025
The application process for the KARTET 2025 is conducted online only through the official website. The steps below are to be followed for submitting the application:
Step 1: Visit https://schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in and read the notification carefully.
Step 2: Register with a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 3: Log in using credentials and fill in the complete details.
Step 4: Upload scanned passport-size photograph (50 KB) and signature (40 KB).
Step 5: Pay the examination fee online via net banking, credit/debit card, or SBI Challan.
Step 6: Download and keep a printout of the submitted application for reference.
Step 7: Applicants must apply before the last date (November 9, 2025) to avoid last-minute technical delay.

KARTET 2025: Exam Date
The KARTET 2025 examination is to be held on December 7, 2025.
Paper 1: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Paper 2: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
The specially abled candidates receive 50 minutes of extra time for each paper. All candidates must reach their centers before reporting time. Late entry is not allowed after 9:15 AM for Paper I and 1:45 PM for Paper II.
KARTET 2025: Admit Card
Admit cards for KARTET 2025 will be available from December 1 to 7, 2025, on the official website. To download the admit card, applicants must log in with their credentials. Details like name, photo, exam centre, and timing will be displayed as per the application form information. Corrections cannot be made after the issue of the admit card. It is suggested that the candidates safely record their credentials and carry the printed admit card with a valid ID proof to the examination hall.
KARTET Result 2025
The results for KARTET 2025 will be declared online on the official website. The certificates will be released within four weeks after the result declaration. The successful candidates can download the digitally signed certificate using their login ID and date of birth. The certificate is valid for life, and it is applicable for teaching posts in government, aided, and unaided schools across the state. Because the exam is OMR-based, computer-assessed re-evaluation or recounting requests will not be entertained.
