Life Insurance Company AAO notification and application forms for 2025 have been released. LIC is accepting applications for the recruitment of 760 Assistant Administrative Officers and 81 Assistant Engineer posts in various offices of LIC. The LIC AAO forms can be filled out online via the official website till 8 September.
All government job aspirants with a bachelor's degree can apply for the position of Assistant Administrative Officer. The exam will be conducted in three phases; the first phase will be a preliminary examination, followed by the main exam and then a personal interview. There will be a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination:
LIC AAO 2025: Important Dates
The notification and application for the AAO and AE vacancies were released on 16th August. The application will be accepted only till 8th September. The admit card will be available 7 days before the examination.

LIC AAO Application Process 2025
The link to apply for AAO and AE has been made live on the official website. Aspirants who are eligible can apply for the LIC AAO exam online by the last date, which is 8th September 2025, via online application. The application can be filled out online only.
The steps for online registration are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website licindia.in/ and then click on Careers to open the link “Recruitment of AAO (Generalist/Specialists/AssistantEngineers)2025.” It will redirect you to the online registration page.
Step 2: For registration, select the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter your name, email, and phone number. A provisional registration number and password will be provided to you. One should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email &SMS will also be sent informing about the Provisional Registration number and Password.
Step 3: If you are not able to fill out the registration in one go, then kindly save the information entered by choosing the "SAVE AND NEXT" tab.
Step 4: You must verify the details entered in the online application, as no. Change will be possible after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION button.
Step 5: Don’t make mistakes while entering your father’s or husband’s name, as this can not be modified later and can lead to disqualification in document verification.
Step 6: Validate the details and save the application by clicking on the 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' buttons.
Step 7: Candidates can now proceed with uploading their photo and signature as per the guidelines.
Step 8: You can now proceed to fill in other details of the Application Form and click on the preview tab before clicking on the Final Submit button.
Step 9: Make the online payment and wait for the admit cards, which will be sent to you at your registered email ID.
LIC AAO Phase I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary examination will be of 1 hour, consisting of 3 parts: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. Reasoning ability will be of 35 marks, 1 mark each for 35 questions and the same goes for the Quantitative aptitude test. The English language will lay special emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension and will have 30 questions of 1 mark each. The English language section will be of a qualifying nature and the marks won’t be considered for ranking.
LIC AAO Phase-II: Main Examination:
The main examination will also be a computer-based test comprising descriptive and objective questions. The objective test will be of 300 marks and descriptive of 25 minutes. Total examination will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Mains will contain subjects like Reasoning Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Data Analysis and Interpretation, Insurance and Financial Market awareness, followed by English language descriptive questions. Once a candidate completes their Objective test, their descriptive test will start and will be administered immediately. There will be no negative marking.
LIC AAO 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria before applying for the post of AAO.

AAO (Actuarial) | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidates should have passed at least 6 papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK, as on the date of eligibility, i.e., 1st August, 2025 |
AAO (Insurance Specialists) | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institution and possessing professional qualification in Life Insurance (Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India (Life), having minimum experience of 5 years and above of working in Life Insurance Companies (regulated by IRDAI) |
AAO (Legal) | Bachelor’s degree in Law from any University / College recognized by UGC with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the aggregate of all semesters/years. For SC/ST and PwBD candidates minimum required marks shall be 45% in a Bachelor’s degree in Law in the aggregate of all semesters/years, against vacancies reserved for such candidates |
LIC Age Limit Requirements
The candidate must not be more than 30 years old for the position of AAO Generalist, CS, Actuarial, or Insurance Specialist, and the minimum age should be 21.
Candidates applying for the post of AAO Legal, CA should not be more than 32 years old and the minimum age should be 21 years. Aspirants born not before 2.08.1993 and not later than 1.08.2024 inclusive of these dates, can apply.
