The online application form registration window for JEE (Main) - 2026, Session-1 was open from 31 October 2025 to 27 November 2025. During the application process, some students weren’t using photograph proofs as per their Adhaar records and were facing photograph mismatch issues with respect to their identity proofs uploaded earlier. In some cases, the live photographs submitted by the applicants during the JEE Main application process did not match the photographs as per official UIDAI records.
For the students who were facing the photograph mismatch regarding the JEE Main 2026 application process, NTA has released an advisory for the same. They must submit proof of verification from a Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM / Class-I Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates) for verification purposes. The NTA (National Testing Agency) has extended the last date for submission of the certificate in PDF format via the link received at their registered email ID to 15 January 2026, so that the applicants can overcome their photograph mismatch issues for the JEE Main 2026 examination process.
