Steps to Apply For The Assistant Professor Post
Step 1: To apply for the post of assistant professor, the students will have to go to the official website https://rec.uod.ac.in/
Step 2: On the portal, the student will have to create a new account by entering the details such as email address, password, contact number, and verification code.
Step 3: Once registered, the students will be required to log in again by entering the registration ID, verification code and password.
Step 4: Fill the form carefully with the correct details and complete all the formalities.
Step 5: Download the final submission page and take a printout of it for further reference.
Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professor
Basic Eligibility
Educational Qualification- Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign university.
Minimum Marks- At least 55 percent marks (or equivalent grade) at the postgraduate level. Relaxation of 5 percent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
NET Requirement- Must have cleared UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) or an equivalent test accredited by UGC.
Additional Considerations
Ph.D. Holders- Candidates with a Ph.D. from a recognised university may be exempted from NET provided their degree complies with UGC norms.
Publications & Experience- Not mandatory for entry-level posts, but desirable. The academic record, research, and teaching experience may be considered for the screening process.
