The Intelligence Bureau (IB), which falls under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released a short notification. It is a notification for one of the largest recruitment drives of the year. A total of 4,987 vacancies have been announced for the post of Security Assistant/Executive, which offers a unique opportunity for candidates with a class 10th marksheet to join India’s premier internal intelligence agency.
The selection of candidates for Security Assistants/Executive posts is based on a three-stage selection process, i.e., Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Eligibility Criteria for IB Security Assistant
Candidates who want to apply for this exam have to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below:
Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board.
Candidates should possess a domicile certificate for the State/UT they are applying for.
Proficiency in the local language of the region from which the candidate is giving the exam is necessary.
Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years, and age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/ OBC and other reserved categories as per government norms.

How to apply for IB Recruitment Exam 2025
The online application for the exam will begin on 26th July 2025, and candidates must follow the steps given below to fill out their online application form:
Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website mha.gov.in
Step 2: Once the website opens up, they click on the IB Recruitment exam link and register for the exam using a valid ID and mobile number.
Step 3: Candidates must log in using their login credentials, fill out the application form, and upload the required documents such as the scanned copies of their photo, signature, class 10th marksheet, and domicile certificate.
Step 4: Next step is to submit the application form and pay the fee. Once the payment is done, candidates will receive a confirmation notification on their number and email ID.
