The Intelligence Bureau of India has released a notice on July 14, 2025, for the vacancies of 3,717 posts for the recruitment of Grade-II, Assistant Central Intelligence Office. The online registration will start from July 19, 2025, and will end on August 10, 2025. The online released notice is for the Grade-II Executive roles in all categories. IB ACIO 2025 Eligibility Criteria
For being eligible for the IB ACIO 2025 posts, candidates must have a well-recognised Bachelor’s degree. A basic computer proficiency though not mandatory but it is preferable for standing out in the selection process.
As per the age limit, the candidates should be within the age bracket of 18 to 27 years as of August 2025. These requirements ensure that the shortlisted candidates aim to ensure that selected candidates have both the academic skills and the adaptability skills required for a smart and dynamic environment.
IB ACIO 2025 Application Fee
The application fee for candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay INR 650. For SC, ST, and PwD categories applicants, INR 550 is applicable. The payment must be made online, and the application has to be submitted through the official Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) website. The application window will open on July 19, 2025, and close on August 10, 2025.

Step 3: Put all accurate personal and other qualifications details in the required sections.
Step 4: Upload required documents such as a recent photograph, signature, and relevant certificates.

IB ACIO 2025 Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The recruitment procedure includes a written test, a descriptive paper, a personal interview, document verification, and a medical check-up. The objective-type written exam will have 100 questions for 100 marks, with a time limit of 60 minutes. Every incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 0.25 marks. This will be followed by a descriptive paper (50 marks) and an interview (100 marks).
The IB ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) is a Group 'C' non-gazetted post under the Ministry of Home Affairs. These officers play an important role in maintaining internal security. Their responsibilities include gathering and analyzing intelligence, monitoring activities of interest, and undertaking field operations when necessary.
