The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the FMGE December 2025 scorecards on 6th February 2026. Out of 43,933 candidates who registered for the exam, 42,872 appeared for it on January 17th, while 1,061 were absent. Only 10,262 candidates managed to pass the exam. This means just 23.95% of candidates cleared the FMGE, while more than 76% failed to qualify in the December 2025 session.
The FMGE December 2025 results improved slightly, with the pass rate rising to 23.37% from 18.61% in June 2025. The exam is mandatory for students who have completed their MBBS degree from a recognised medical college abroad and want to practise medicine in India.
FMGE Scorecard: Key Updates
NBEMS uploaded the FMGE December 2025 scorecards on February 6. The board said the results are provisional and final approval will be given only after in-person verification of identity and documents. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging in on the official website of NBEMS.
NBEMS also shared that, as per the final answer key, one question was technically incorrect and another had two correct answers. Marks were given to all candidates for these questions. Even after this, the overall pass percentage stayed below 25%. The results of four candidates have been withheld, and they have been informed separately by email.
NBEMS added that digitally signed results will be sent directly to State Medical Councils (SMCs) in Excel format to verify FMGE pass certificates for registration.

Step 3: Log in using your login credentials and password.
Step 4: Your FMGE scorecard will appear on the screen
Step 5: Download and save the scorecard for future use.
The FMGE December 2025 results also highlight the ongoing concerns of candidates regarding the exam difficulty and the preparedness of foreign medical graduates. As NBEMS starts the document verification and registration process, the results are expected to bring back discussions about the difficulty of the exam and the need for better training and support for students.
