Delhi education administration has launched a series of professional development programmes for teachers to boost their skill upgradation. The courses are conducted through online mode to any educators, school heads, and teacher educators from government, aided, unaided, and private schools can avail themselves.
The courses comprise NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement), regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes, and micro and nano courses designed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The last date to apply for courses is March 10, 2026.

What Does the NISHTHA Program Cover?
Under NISHTHA, there would be modules in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in three languages: English, Hindi, and Urdu. The project intends to:
Enhance the classroom activities at the foundation levels according to NEP
Encourages competency-based learning and higher-order thinking skills
Provide high-quality learning resources.
The NISHTHA programme covers five levels of courses, including Elementary, Secondary, FLN, and offline face-to-face classes.
What Are the General CPD Courses?
The general CPD course modules focus on a wide range of contemporary themes, which include: cyber hygiene, digital wellbeing, social media safety, financial safety, and data privacy and protection. In addition, the educational instructional design with media literacy, and environmental issues like e-waste, action research, and open educational resources.
How to apply
Step 1 - Teachers may sign up through the DIKSHA portal, where the entire module is available in digital format.

Step 2 -Applicants must fill out a different application form for each course chosen.

Registration is available until March 10, 2026, and the last day for course completion is March 15, 2026, as per SCERT. The platform offers video lessons, text modules, and assessments, thus allowing learners to move at their own pace within the set deadlines.
Certificates will be issued after the completion of the course to those who achieve the qualifying score of at least 60%. The certificates of course will be created 15 days after the date of course completion. The certificate will be delivered to the user whose name is on the profile during the course.
