The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the CUET UG reopened registration window will be closed today on February 26, 2026. Students who have not completed their registration must do so by the end of the day as the portal will be closed at 11:50 PM tonight. CUET UG 2026 registration was officially started on January 3, 2026, with an end date of January 30, 2026. Initially, the last date to pay the application fee was January 31, 2026, until 11:50 PM.
After a series of appeals and requests from the student community, the NTA extended the registration deadline to February 4, along with the last day for fee payment that was February 7. However, many candidates were still not able to submit their applications due to technical problems, poor internet connectivity, and their own limitations.
After receiving new requests from the student community, the NTA reopened the application and fee payment gateway on the afternoon of February 23, 2026. The officials have made it clear that this is a one-time, short-term reopening and no further extensions will be provided in any circumstances.
CUET UG Examination Schedule and Pattern
The CUET UG 2026 exam is to be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various centers across India and a few international locations. The tentative date of the examination has been set between May 11 and May 31, 2026.
The national-level entrance exam is the key to the UG admissions in some central universities, state universities, and participating institutions. It is believed that the CBT pattern will help in faster result processing and easier evaluation methods.

Step 1- Applicant needs to visit at official website of CUET UG cuet.nta.nic.in
Step 2 - Under the candidate activity section below, click on the re-opening of registration for CUET (UG) 2026 - link.
Step 3 - On the next page, click on the New Registration button.
Step 4 - Read the guidelines and enable the check box, then click on proceed.
Step 5 - Register yourself by providing your personal and academic details.
Step 6 - Upload the documents, including the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
Step 7- Make the payment of the application fee through online payment methods.
Step 8 - Submit the form and take a print of the confirmation page for future reference.
