The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on February 25. Students must complete and submit their application forms online through the official website of the Joint Entrance Examination before the deadline.
As per the official schedule, the Session 2 April session examination will be conducted from April 2 to April 9 2026. The exam will be held in computer based mode at various centres. Admit cards are likely to be released three to four days before the exam dates, so students should regularly check the official website for updates.
However JEE Main 2026 is being conducted in two phases the first session was held in January and the second session will take place in April. Candidates who wish to take admission into BTech, BArch and BPlanning programmes must apply within the given timeline.
Students who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, as well as those appearing for their Class 12 exams in 2026, are eligible to apply. There is no age limit for appearing in the examination. Students are advised to carefully fill out the form and avoid submitting multiple applications.
Requirements for January Session Candidates Applying for JEE Main 2026 Session 2
Students who have already applied for the January session and wish to appear for Session 2 must complete the following steps:
Candidates have to log in with their existing application number and password on the official portal.
Select or confirm the course (paper) wish to appear for.
Choose the medium of the question paper.
Confirm the state code of eligibility.
Select preferred examination cities from the available options.
Verify and update Class 10 details.
Verify and update Class 12 details.
Complete the required fee payment for Session 2.
Students are advised to review carefully all details before final submission. However the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clearly stated that candidates are not allowed to submit more than one application form. If a student fills out multiple forms it will be treated as Unfair Means (UFM) even if detected later. In such cases strict action may be taken against the candidate. Students are therefore advised to carefully complete their application using only one valid registration.
JEE Main 2026 Correction Window Details
As per the official notice, the correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will open on February 27, 2026, and remain available until 11:50 pm on February 28, 2026. Candidates must make all required changes within this period. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clearly stated that no further corrections will be allowed after the window closes under any circumstances, so students are advised to review their forms carefully.
