The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has started the registration process for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET 10) from 24th February 2026. The exam is being conducted to recruit Nursing Officers under Level 7 of the pay matrix (Group B). The salary falls under the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of INR 9,300- INR 34,800 with a grade pay of INR 4,600.
According to the NORCET 10 notification 2026, candidates can fill out the online application form by visiting the official website. The early exam will be held on April 11, while the Mains exam is scheduled for April 30 for those who qualify in Stage 1.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 2,551 vacancies across different campuses. The highest number of posts, 383, is available at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Karaikal. AIIMS, New Delhi, has 282 vacancies, while more than 200 posts are available at AIIMS Kalyani and AIIMS Gorakhpur.
AIIMS NORCET 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the recruitment must meet the required educational and professional qualifications.
Applicants should hold a degree in any one of the following qualifications: BSc (Hons) Nursing or BSc Nursing from an institute or university recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or the respective State Nursing Council. Candidates who have completed a Post-basic BSc Nursing from a recognised institute are also eligible to apply.
Those holding a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC or State Nursing Council-recognised institute can also apply. However, diploma holders must have at least two years of work experience in a hospital with a minimum of 50 beds after obtaining their qualification.
Applicants must also be registered as a nurse and midwife with the State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
The age limit is 18 to 30 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxation will be given as per government rules.
AIIMS NORCET 2026: Important Dates and Fees Details
