CEED 2026 Registration Regular Fee Payment Window Closing Today; Apply Now to Avoid Late Fee

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) will close the registration process for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2026 with regular fee payment today, November 5, 2025, at 11:55 PM. Candidates aspiring for M.Des and Ph.D. programmes are advised to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid paying the additional late fee of INR 500.

The registration window will reopen tomorrow, November 6, 2025, with a late fee and remain active until November 10, 2025 (5:00 PM). According to IIT Bombay, no further extensions will be granted beyond this date.

Common​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a national-level entrance test which is conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to M.Des and Ph.D. programmes at the top design institutes in India, like IITs and IISc. CEED test evaluates the candidates' creative thinking, ability to think out of the box, problem-solving, visualization and logical reasoning skills which are necessary for an advanced study in design.

CEED 2026 Registration Details

The CEED 2026 registration process began on October 1, 2025, and candidates must apply via the official registration portal — ceed.iitb.ac.in.

Initially, the last date for submitting the application form was October 31, 2025, but it was extended until November 5, 2025, to accommodate more applicants.

The late registration window from November 6–10, 2025, allows candidates to submit their forms with an additional INR 500 late fee.

Candidates can make payments through the online payment gateway using debit/credit cards or net banking. Payment receipts should be retained for verification purposes.

Eligibility Criteria for CEED 2026

Before registering, candidates must verify their eligibility as defined by IIT Bombay:

• Must have completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate programme (minimum 3 years after 10+2) or be appearing in the final year by July 2026.

• Candidates who have already completed their qualifying degree by 2025 are also eligible to apply.

• There is no age limit for CEED 2026.

Step 1: Registration: Go to https://ceedapp.iitb.ac.in/ and register by using your email ID and mobile number.

Step 2: Login and Fill Details: Post registration, login with your user id and password and complete the personal, academic and contact details with correct information.

Step 3: Upload Documents: Attach the scanned and cropped copies of your photo, signature, and relevant certificate (category or PwD, if applicable) files.

Step 4: Fee Payment: Make the payment through any one of the online methods that are available.
