CBSE Recruitment 2026: Applications Start for 124 Vacancies, Check Selection Criteria & More Details

Theββββββββββββββββ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the online application process for the CBSE Recruitment 2026. In the official notice, it is mentioned that the registration started on December 2, 2025 and will be available till December 22. Candidates are required to fill out the application form and, if applicable, pay the fee on or before December 22, 2025,11:59 pm.
CBSE has announced 124 vacancies for various Group A, B, and C non-teaching positions. The list of these positions comprises Assistant Secretary, Assistant Director, Accounts Officer, Superintendent, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Accountant, and Junior ββββββββββββββββAssistant.
As per the Schedule, aspirants will be allowed to complete and submit their online application forms only up to 22 December 2025. The final date for the exam fee payment is 22 December 2025. The payment should be made no later than 11:59 ββββββββββββββββpm.

Marking Scheme for CBSE Recruitment 2026
Theββββββββββββββββ notification outlines the scoring method for the Tier-1 exam. Each correct answer will be rewarded with 3 marks, and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. If a question is unanswered, no marks will be given. Besides, CBSE declared that every question will have only one correct answer. In case a candidate chooses more than one option for a question, it will be considered as a wrong answer and 1 mark will be deducted. All candidates taking the Tier-1 exam will be scored in the same way according to this marking ββββββββββββββββscheme.
CBSE Recruitment 2026 Selection Criteria
The CBSE has explained the shortlisting of candidates for Tier 2 and the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
Inββββββββββββββββ the case of OBC and EWS candidates, the cut-off for both Tier-1 and Tier-2 is going to be 5% lower than the unreserved (UR) category cut-off.
For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the cut-off will be 10% lower than the UR cut-off.
If there are not enough candidates in certain categories, the Board may decide to lower the cut-off further or change the criteria for shortlisting for Tier-2, interviews or skill tests.
Candidates who score less than 30% of the maximum marks in either Tier-1 or Tier-2 will not be considered for the final selection, irrespective of their ββββββββββββββββcategory.
Documents Required at the Exam Centre
Candidates must bring these documents, which are mentioned below, to the examination ββcentre. The Board has instructed that no entry will be allowed without these required documents.
It is necessary to bring a printed copy of the admit card that has been downloaded from the official CBSE website.
One passport-size photo similar to the one uploaded in the application form.
Valid and original photo ID proof of any one of the following: PAN card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar (with photo), e-Aadhaar (with photo), or ration card with photo.
PwBD candidates must have their disability certificate issued by an authorised medical officer to be allowed entry.
PwBD candidates, who require some relaxation during the exam, should also bring the certificate of physical limitation and the Letter of Undertaking if they are going to use their own scribe.
