The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that the online registration deadline for the intermediate yearly examination, 2026, has been extended. As per the announcement, the students will now be allowed to complete the online registrations from August 28, 2025, to September 3, 2025. Students who have yet to fill out the online registration form and wish to appear in the board exam in 2026 have their last chance to do so by September 3, 2025. In addition to this, the last date for the submission of the signed and stamped hard copy of the registered students’ list to the BSEB is set for September 1, 2025.
All the schools have been given the directions to get through the online registration process on behalf of students via the official website at seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com. It must be noted that the registrations will be considered complete only upon the payment of the prescribed fee. This year, the total count of students who appeared for the exam across Bihar stood at 1,292,313. Among them were 650,466 boys and 641,847 girls, who appeared for the exam at 1677 centres.
Bihar Board 2026 Exam: How to Register
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna, has mentioned a step-wise procedure for the students to register for the exam. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Visit http://seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com/inter26/#/login

Step 2: Log in with your username and password, solve the captcha, and click on the ‘Login’ button.
Step 3: Upon logging in, download the registration form.
Step 4: Make the prescribed payment to move further with the process.
Step 5: Wait for the payment status to get verified.
Step 6: Fill the ‘Student Registration Form’.
Step 7: Check the ‘Registered Students’ list.
Bihar Board Class 12 Intermediate Qualification Criteria
For students to be considered qualified for the Bihar Board Class 12 intermediate exams, the minimum percentile needs to be 33% in theory subjects. As for the practical subjects, a minimum of 40% percentile is required. If the students are not able to score well above the minimum requirements, they will have to appear for supplementary exams.
